Mona Vale Place Plan

e8urban led the design for the development of a Place Plan for Mona Vale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Providing, urban design, master planning, public domain, place making and built from inputs, we developed a draft strategy that promoted gentle change within the Town Centre area.

The approach is based on the ‘My Place’, a place planning approach to planning, design and management of local town centres. The approach focuses on people’s connection to their local area and encourages them to work with us.

Community participation and involvement was essential during all aspects of My Place, so that Council and their consultants can develop Place Plans that truly reflect community aspirations.

Through extensive community engagement as well as detailed analysis of the strategic aims of the state, region, district, and local government area, this Place Plan will guide change in Mona Vale over the next 10-20 years.
