In 2018 e8urban were engaged by Land and Housing NSW to prepare and urban design study to support the rezoning of a complex urban site for social, affordable and private housing within the City of Sydney LGA.
The Preferred Option is the result of site analysis, and design testing and evolution that encapsulates the Study Objectives and Design Principles, and housing targets while also providing a greater quantum of public open space on the Site.
The Preferred Option was developed in collaboration with the consultant team and consultations with Urban Designer Officers from the CoS, and reflected feedback from the comprehensive stakeholder engagement process that was undertaken.
