e8urban were commissioned by UrbanGrowth NSW to undertake an urban design study of development capacity on the Glebe Island Precinct.
The purpose of the study was to understand how the potential retention of Ports activities on Glebe Island would affect the development outcomes in terms of yield, land use and planning. With the final development metrics used to assist a costing and land use value exercise undertaken by other consultants.
Glebe Island is one of the Precincts identified in the Bays Precinct program. Located between Rozelle Bay and White Bay.
Previous studies have determined that if Ports activities were relocated away from Glebe Island approximately 650,000 sqm of GFA (Gross Floor Area) could be accommodated within the 20 hectare precinct.
